Visited the visitor center and spent hours browsing the book store.

Great camaraderie among the inhabitants of the hiker/biker camp. Dave, from CAlgary, CAnada was biking from Las Vegas to Montana. Scott Free was taking a vacation before moving to Hawaii. Eva from the Czech Republic was headed down to the bottom of the canyon, but all her gear had gotten stolen in Kingman. We fished out a sleeping pad for her from this amazing bin near the campground entrance kiosk where people can put donated camping equipment. I saw a coleman stove in there, some camping chairs--I guess people can't travel with that stuff anymore (are maybe flying?) and just chuck it in the bin.

Fun presentation on Ravens (my favorite birds) at the Shrine of Ages. Ravens have been numerous throughout the hike--they are real clowns and fabulous flyers.
