Sierra Nevada interlude 2/12

It’s time. Things have been uncertain due to work schedules, but finally we have a departure date--July 21 or 22. I’ve updated our itinerary and it looks like, if all goes according to plan, we will cross the border into Colorado on the last day of our hike at mile 1400 or so.

One of the most difficult things for a section hiker to overcome is the logistics of getting on and off the trail. This year, we will fly into Jackson Hole, Wyoming and get a ride from a Scouter colleague, Larry, who lives there. What a gift! He will take us to Togwotee Pass, a little down the road from the lodge where we came out last year.

Now the fun begins!
