Appalachian Trail Map
we had an awesome day on the trail. we took our time getting out of camp, and mom, david and christopher met us four miles down trail at us sixty four. they had coffee waiting for us. amazing. we hiked with them for about four miles andhad a nice long lunch. from there we battled a very muddy trail and came across trail magic. we chatted and enjoyed a beer and a coke before the long climb up to the top of wayah bald. beautiful views from the tower up there. we made ot to the shelter around five thirty and gorged ourselves. and i threw a pretty epic bear hang. we will nead to natahala outdoor center for dinner tomorrow. hamburgers await. woot. got to go hang food. and maybe with time change tomorrow it will feel easier to get out of bed at eight instead of seven. thats it for tonight. ember
The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) is more than 2,175-mile long footpath stretching through 14 eastern states from Maine to Georgia. Conceived in 1921 and first completed in 1937, it traverses the wild, scenic, wooded, pastoral, and culturally significant lands of the Appalachian Mountains.
