Desert in the Sierras?!

We have finally made it to the "promised land" and oh the Sierras are SO SO GRAND!!!!! I can't take it all in, it's too much,?? I'm overwhelmed with awesomeness.

We have now come into Bishop over Kearsarge Pass to resupply with food and ended up taking a 0 at the Hostel California-a vortex that has kept some here for 2 weeks!?? It's the desert down here again, over 100 all the time, we are eager to get back into the mtns! But first we must do the climb up and out over Kearsarge Pass again, with packs laden with a week's worth of food :)
